JCSC South Avenue champions
On Saturday 22nd June, JCSC South Avenue students travelled to the County Area Athletics competition in Hexham.
Kieran Hedley, Year 8 came first in the 800m and Taylor Enstone, Year 7 won the shot putt. The Year 6 girls relay team ran a fabulous race and came second; congratulations go to Bella Young, Megan Farrell, Olivia Welsh, Polly Long and Katie Allan, who should be very proud of themselves.
“The athletics meeting was the final competition”, said Mrs Bell, PE teacher at South Avenue,“and therefore both Kieran and Taylor are County Champions in their sport. They have done exceptionally well and we look forward to seeing what they can achieve next year. Well done!”
