JCSC football success
Students from JCSC South Avenue are proving themselves to be formidable footballers and potential stars of the future.
The Year 6 girls team (pictured) recently played in and won the East Northumberland area competition at Hirst Welfare and have qualified to represent the area in the County finals. Two of the squad, Megan Farrell and Annie Smith have built on their success and been selected to play for the U11 girls county football team.
The Year 6 boys team have also competed in the East Northumberland league and two of their team, Jaydn Ford and Daniel Ramshaw have received invitations to join the U11 boys county football team.
Holly Mossman and Samantha Brierley from Year 7 have also been selected to represent the county in the U12 squad.
‘We are absolutely delighted for all of the students’, said Mr Paul Simpson, Head of PE at JCSC. ‘They have worked hard and thoroughly enjoy their football both in and out of school.’
