Naked Nun: Beauty is their religion
Some of the beauty treatments that TV stars receive are now available at a new beauty salon in Amble. Naked Nun is the brain child of two Northumberland women, Collette Wright and Kelly Gair.
Collette, from Alnwick, who specialises in semi-permanent make up treatments as well as HD brows, the popular ‘lunchtime’ teeth whitening experience and threading, has been all over the UK to deliver personal treatment to clients such as Thelma Madine, whom many readers will know, is the wedding dress maker on the popular TV reality series ‘Gypsy Weddings’.
“I am really looking forward to offering high end treatments at reasonable prices from my own shop. While it’s great to be mobile and drive all over the country , it’s an excellent opportunity to create a business in my own salon,” said Collette. Kelly, from Amble, used to run the popular ‘Unique Beauty’ salon in the town and is very excited at reconnecting with her old clients, and is looking forward to gaining new ones with the diverse range of treatments that the salon provides. Treatments include acrylic, Brisa gel and Shellac nails, alongside other ‘new-to-market’ treatments such as Urban Spray Tan.
‘To start another salon in Amble is a really exciting time, especially with the range of treatments that we now offer,’ said Kelly. They have been able to offer employment to Donna Christie from Amble, who is qualified to NVQ Level 3 in beauty therapy.
The salon is based on the corner of Leazes Street, and has had a refurbishment. and customers can buy many beauty products in the salon itself. There is car parking outside the salon.
You can book appointments and see the full range of treatments available, including all semi-permanent cosmetics options, on the website www.nakednun.co.uk.
