Amble Women’s Institute
We ended 2023 with a trip to Newcastle Cathedral for the WI Carol Service, putting us in the mood for the forthcoming celebrations.
Our December meeting rounded off the year with a party and entertainment provided by a Skiffle Band.
2024 was welcomed in with a visit from the Amble Poet, who had us all chuckling with some very apt observations!
In February we had another visit from ‘All about the Bees’ with a talk and a chance to snap up some quality products. Some ladies visited Woodhorn Museum, to look around the venue and attend a talk about local artists with lunch in the restaurant.
We had a lovely evening meal at Warkworth House Hotel.
Future events include a meal out and our AGM in March. a trip to Trinity House, Newcastle in April, and a Spring Craft Fair in the Parish Hall on Sunday 5 May. We are also running our coffee mornings and meetings.
We are hoping to invite other Local WI branches to visit us. All in all, a very busy start to 2024!
