Another successful Mauretania Day

Mauretania Day was held on Sunday 2 July. It was a very successful day with performances from Tribe Zuza, Amble Sword, Jayess Newbiggin Brass Band, Amble’s Harbour Lights Choir and the Boffs singing selection of Byrds songs, sorry nothing to do with the Bord Waalk!

The day had one disadvantage – where a strong breeze threaten to blow away the gazebo. This was prevented with the help of John Lee, Kevin Henderson and Paul from Geordie Banger. The day rounded off with Café Church led by Sister Penny Horseman.

On display was a selection of Morgan cars and two cars of MG nature.

The visitors appeared to enjoy the sites and entertainment. It was pleasing to think of the several musical genres on view throughout the day being enjoyed by many of the public.

Next year’s Mauretania Day takes place on Sunday 1 July 2024 and we are already looking to another enjoyable event.

Thank you to all came to the event.
