A fond farewell to a friend
The Ambler team were extremely sad at the death of our long time friend and colleague Cath Findlay.

Cath joined the Ambler in 2008 and remained a regular volunteer until earlier this year. She edited articles, deciphered handwriting, took photos, and updated the website, all with her calm, gentle good humour.
Cath at the Duchess of Northumberland’s garden party
Cath was one of the Ambler editorial team who met Prince Charles when he visited Amble in 2012. Three years later, she represented the Ambler at the Duchess of Northumberland’s Garden party. And in 2016 Cath was one of our photo team covering the Countess of Wessex’ visit.

Cath was a lovely, gracious, fair minded lady who loved her family and her community. She has been a valued and much loved colleague. We will miss her greatly, and we send our condolences to her family and friends.
