Trust Life #130
Welcome back to Trust Life
Today the world is changing! I say this because school holidays have come to a close, with children carrying out testing, office workers are returning to work after working from home, mask wearing is becoming a choice rather than a requirement, covid restrictions are lifted – and just about every condition we have grown used to in the last 18 months, or ‘the new normal’ will now be an ‘old normal’ as yet again we adjust to ever changing circumstances. If you’re following me I’m sure you will agree, its amazing what we humans can adjust to when necessary.
Office opening hours
Trying to bring some normality back to our working environment we have the office doors open again to the public. However we ask that a face mask is worn. Our tenants have asked that access restrictions to their offices are retained. Therefore if you need to see anyone please contact them beforehand to make an appointment and they will meet you at the main entrance on the first floor at the allotted time.
Christmas Lights Festival
With the possibility of any covid restrictions coming back into force, the events committee are working on how best to organise the Torchlight Procession, or perhaps we should now call it our Christmas Lights Festival!
The committee would like to build on the community spirit and momentum from last year to make the event even better and in a way that can be participatory.
This may seem a little vague but as soon as plans are further developed and permissions have been granted we will be able to tell you more, so look out for this exciting news in The Ambler.
Football at the Welfare
At the welfare, work to the pitches is ongoing and we now have two teams who will be using the welfare pitches and pavilion in the coming season. This is great news and something we have been working towards for a very long time.
We wish both clubs well and we are looking forward to seeing activities there once again.
Bird sculpture trail
Sadly we have very little news on the progress of the bird sculpture trail as we are still waiting for planning conditions to be discharged. BUT we will get there eventually!
Job search facilities
Trustees will be discussing opening the office for job search and use of computers by the public but currently if you want to contact the Ambler or requiring a CV you can do so by ringing: 01665 712929 or emailing editor@theambler.co.uk or Julie@ambledevelopmenttrust.org.uk
Hoping you stay safe and well.
