Local equestrian centre celebrates opening of new facilities

Hope Farm Equestrian Centre is celebrating the official opening of its new facilities, with a fundraising event on 28 October.

Enid said “I am delighted we are able to provide this new outdoor schooling arena for use by the riders at Hope Farm and those across the equestrian community in the North East. This new facility has been designed to competition standard, allowing us to train and compete more effectively.”
The new outdoor space follows on from the build of an indoor facility in 2015, making the centre one of the largest and most comprehensive in the area.
The fundraising event is designed to raise the profile of the centre and support the Great North Air Ambulance, a charity utilised and valued by the equestrian community. There will be a dressage demonstration to music, a family dog show, fun and activities for children and adults and a wide range of food and drink.
The official ribbon cutting will be done by a representative of the Great North Air Ambulance. Admission to the event is free, and parking is available. Enid said “I’m really looking forward to the day, and being able to share our excitement of the new facilities as well as raising funds for a superb charity. It will be a great day for everyone.”
Enid, 27 an ambitious event rider competes with her own horses and on behalf of owners across the region. Her goal is to attend Badminton Horse Trails in 2020 as part of their Grassroots programme, as well as to qualify for Scottish Grassroots Championships held at Blair Castle in August 2019.
