Readers will have noticed that the new development next to Dandsfield Square is coming on well. The contractors, Galliford Try, hope to have it finished by next April, subject to the weather and installation of services.
When finished, there will be 12 one bed flats, 8 two bed bungalows, 20 two bed houses and 8 three bed houses.
All of them are social housing, managed by Homes for Northumberland on behalf of Northumberland County Council.
