Walk the Northumberland coast path
The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership is offering the chance to walk the Northumberland Coast Path with the path originator, Iain Robson.
On the Wednesdays between the 16 July and 20 August, Iain will lead a walk along a section of the path in the company of a coastal expert: botanist, geologist, ranger or birdwatcher. You can do any section/s
The start time for each section coincides with the arrival of a bus and we will return to our starting point by bus.
The walks are all free, but you will need your bus fare. We have given brief public transport information, but you can plan your journey at www.travelinenortheast.info

Stage 1 July 16th Cresswell to Warkworth 10.5 miles (5 hours)
Start: 09:20 Cresswell Ices to coincide with the arrival of the Arriva No.1 from Ashington
Return on the 14:52 Arriva 472/20 to Ellington, which continues on to Ashington and Newcastle
Stage 2 July 23rd Warkworth to Craster 13 miles (6.5 hours)
Start 09:35 Warkworth Market Cross to coincide with the arrival of the X18 from Alnwick and Newcastle.
Return on the 16:27 Travelsure 418 to Alnwick. Change here for services to Warkworth and Newcastle
Stage 3 July 30th Craster to Seahouses 9.5 miles (5 hours)
Start 10:35 Craster TIC to coincide with the arrival of the X18 from Alnwick/Newcastle
Return on the 16:05 Travelsure 418 to Alnwick via Craster. Change at Alnwick for Arriva services to Newcastle.
Stage 4 August 6th Seahouses to Belford 10.5 miles (5 1/2 hours)
Start 10:00 Seahouses TIC to coincide with the arrival of the Travelsure 418 from Alnwick.
Return to Seahouses on 15:45 418 to Seahouses or 15.43 X15 to Alnwick/Newcastle
Stage 5 August13th Belford to Fenwick 7 miles (4 hours)
Start 1030 Belford Market Cross to coincide with the arrival of the X15 from Alnwick/Newcastle or the Travelsure 418 from the Coast.
Return to Alnwick/Newcastle via Belford on 15.25 X15 service
Stage 6 August 20th Fenwick to Berwick-upon-Tweed 12 miles (6 hours)
Start 1035 Fenwick A1 Bus Stop to coincide with the arrival of the X15 from Alnwick/Newcastle
Return on 1712 X15 service to Alnwick/Newcastle via Fenwick.
