Entrepreneur Dean Stackhouse, from Hadston, has launched a company which could save the NHS millions over the coming years.
DJS Telecare provides personal alarms and Telecare equipment to the general public, enabling people to live independently in their own homes for as long as they possibly can while also providing peace of mind for friends and family.

Their innovative technology includes  equipment which can monitor vital signs like blood pressure remotely. Their Telecare equipment has a range of sensors which monitors amounts of smoke, gas, and CO2 and also fall sensors that monitor the person. All equipment is monitored 24/7  by staff at an alarm receiving centre.

With support from the free Business Northumberland initiative, Dean has been able to establish and grow the business within the region.

Business Northumberland offers established and start-up businesses in the county a free service that provides business advice and support to anyone thinking about starting a business in Northumberland and also offers business coaching to existing businesses with growth ambitions.
