Trust Life #150

Posted on 11th February 2025 | in Amble Development Trust

Hello everyone, welcome back to Trust Life – let us chase away those winter blues with some positive and inspirational thoughts.

Looking forward to 2025, we should, hopefully, have a start date for the Playzone in the coming weeks – first piece of positive thinking!

While the proposed schedule for the 3G pitch has a start date of 2026 and the funding is out of our remit, we remain convinced this too will happen.

Preparations for the Puffin Festival will begin soon so if you would like to get involved in community events please contact one of the events committee members so we can invite you to the meetings. Or if meetings aren’t your thing I’m sure we can find a way to utilise your talents – we all have something we can offer.

On Neighbourhood Planning – while the steering group enjoyed a well earned break over Christmas, they managed to get through a fair amount of work beforehand and feel they are making good progress. Being aspirational they are hoping to work through and have this complete this year. That’s a lot of work for a small but dedicated group!

For future updates, log on to the website (https://www.ambleplan.org) which will be populated with news as well as posts on social media, and in The Ambler.

It is good to note that we have two new businesses opening up on Queen Street. We offer a warm welcome and every success with their new ventures. Plus we have just had confirmation from the lady who organises Alnwick market that she will be holding markets in Amble on the town square on Tuesdays from May – October .

And finally, latest research shows that if we ate humans at the rate we eat animals we would be extinct within 2 weeks – so moral of the data is to eat hooman beans! Sorry just one of those pieces of info I thought should be shared, hopefully it raised a smile!!

Our job search facilities are now open from 9am – 5pm each week day.

If you would like to contact the Ambler or require a CV you can do so by ringing: 01665 712929 or emailing editor@theambler.co.uk or Julie@ambledevelopmenttrust.org.uk
Wishing a happy new year to everyone.
Julia, all Trust staff and Trustees
