Lifeboat Day 2022
Organisers were delighted with this year’s Lifeboat day. The special guest was ITV weatherman Ross Hutchinson who opened the event.

Chair of Amble Lifeboat Fundraisers Bart Rippon said, “It was a fab day. The weather was good and that brought the crowds out. Many of them came to see Ross Hutchinson, and it was great to have him open the event. We raised over £7,000 for the Amble RNLI, but there are still some things to come in. I also want to say thanks to all the help from the volunteers, and the RNLI crew.”
As well as the ever popular Ross who happily chatted with the crowd, there was great entertainment from the Auckland Shanty Singers and Amble Sword Dancers. Next was folk singer Tom O’Donnell, and then Tribe Zuza dancers entertained everyone with some great tribal dancing.
The crew of the lifeboat put on a great display and crowds gathered to watch.
