Looking for the best and worst lockdown haircuts
Are you counting down the days till hairdressers and barbers re-open? Have you already had to resort to an emergency home trim that perhaps didn’t go quite according to plan?
An Amble barber is looking for the best and worst lockdown cuts, and if you’d like to join in, you could win a correction haircut and free styling product.
Dawn Robinson set up Headmasters barbers on Queen Street last year, after working at Phoenix barbers for 18 years.
She told The Ambler, “We opened Headmasters in October, and things were going really well. Then there was the November lockdown, then we were in Tier4 and now lockdown 3. And we can only imagine how many home haircuts have been done. So we thought why not launch this competition as a bit of a laugh.”
Dawn and her colleagues would like to see photos of your January lockdown home haircuts. Just post them onto Headmasters Amble’s facebook page by 26 March and they will announce the winner on 29 March.
The competition information can be found on this post: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=189805882923008&id=103840558186208
And now the government has announced that hairdressers and nail bars can reopen from 12 April, here’s an opportunity to rescue your Covid cuts and brave the big wide world again.
As Dawn says, “Your haircut is 90% of your selfie! Hold off on the DIY haircuts, there’s light and a barber at the end of the tunnel.”
