Amble Food Bank wishes to thank all the organisations and individuals who have helped us during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Terry Long from Amble Food Bank

Obviously, we are not able to thank every person or organisation, although some have had a thank you letter for their donation, however there are a few we are aware of and thank these on behalf of the Amble Food Bank in particular and the Community at large.

Individuals include Rachel Cook; Julie Baxter; Terry Long; Marion Long; Ben Moore; Elizabeth Wardle; Angela Scammell; Colin Scammell; Mary Davidson; Eric Davidson; Lynne Morelli and Tracey Bagnall.

Organisations include Best One Shop Links Avenue; CO-OP Queen St; Morrison’s Amble; Dry Water Arts Centre; Amble Pin Cushion and Amble Churches.

We would also like to thank the local community for food donations directly to us or to Morrison’s and the Co-op and for their generous money donations.

A special thanks to Frances Anderson and her team at the Dry Water Arts Centre and Norma Arthur from Amble Pin Cushion and her team for making masks for volunteers and those families receiving Foodbank parcels.

An incredibly grateful thanks to all those who donated to the Just Giving Page, which is currently at £5092.00.

During the Coronavirus outbreak, we had several organisations and volunteer groups who have helped with advice and referrals from the community. These include locality coordinators from Northumbria healthcare, Amble Town Council, Alnwick Social Services, Northumbria police and Isolation Support in Amble and Surrounding Area.

Finally, a huge thank you from all the recipient families of a food parcel in Amble and surrounding area over the past few months, we know they would have suffered without the support of the donations received.

Continued support is still very much needed for those in the community who require our service, we hope the community will continue to donate as they can, as we feel we are a long way from normality.

Bill Cruickshank
Coordinator Amble Food Bank
