A round up of the latest news from he Rotary club of Amble and Warkworth
The Rotary Club of Amble and Warkworth held their annual golf competition recently at Alnmouth Golf Club (Foxton). The trophy, known as the Brown Salver has been competed for ever since it was presented in 1951. Receiving the salver from Rotary Club President Tim Mason from Amble, is this year’s winner Rotarian Fred Calvert (left).
Fred Calvert was recently installed as the new Chairman of Warkworth Probus Club. He is pictured here (on the right) being congratulated by the outgoing Chairman, Ian Clapham. The Probus Club provides retired business and professional men with the opportunity to meet once a month for lunch and to listen to an interesting speaker. The club meets in The Hermitage Inn, Warkworth
Pictured at the Brambles Childcare Centre are the members of the Rotary Club of Amble and Warkworth who carried out much needed restoration to the Wendy House, prior to the members of the Interact Club (Junior Rotary) from the James Calvert Spence College, decorating it.
