Tiny-Woods-Jamie-coachingIn our new column, we will endeavour to bring you news from the Tiny Woods Academy as well as keeping you informed of the progress of Amble Community Team.

We have just completed a successful Autumn Camp with over 40 kids participating and the feedback from the children and parents was fantastic. Due to the successes of previous camps we intend to organise a February half term camp.

Our Saturday morning sessions, which are linked in with Amble Development Community Sports Centre, have proved to be a big hit with children and parents; these are held at Amble Welfare on a weekly basis at 10am. Anyone wishing to join is welcome.

Tiny Woods Academy and Amble Community Team joined forces to refurbish the pavilion and develop the welfare for the local community. Amble Community Team are actively clearing and cleaning the pavilion on a regular basis; anyone wishing to join Amble Community Team to donate or contribute towards the project is more than welcome.

Tiny Woods Academy is supporting a charity which is providing wheelchairs for young children. This is achieved by collecting plastic milk bottle tops, all colours. They can be dropped in at Amble Development Trust at Fourways2 or at the pavilion on a Saturday morning.

Everyone at Tiny Woods Academy would like to wish the Ambler readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and all the best for 2015.

Josh Rutherford
