Interact float their boats
Following their successful sponsored kayak trip down the Coquet recently, members of the Interact Club of Coquet and Aln presented a cheque for £534.50p to Wishing Well, a charity to help underprivileged children in Ghana.
This represents half the total collected. The other half is to be donated to The Hillcrest Respite Centre for people suffering with Aids in Durban, South Africa.
The Interact members are all students at Amble’s James Calvert Spence College. Interact is a junior branch of Rotary International.
L-r: Hannah Fraser, Shirley Fraser and Nicola Brennan from Wishing Well and Joey Morley (Club President), Zoe Wilson, Rebecca Dargue, Fay Rochester, Scott Harvey, Georgia Soan and James Oliver from Interact.
