JCSC Charity Event
Students and staff took part in a non-uniform fundraising day on 25th October in aid of North of England Children’s Cancer Research charity (NECCR)
‘We have committed to raising money towards this particular charity, not only because it is for such a worthwhile cause,’ said Mrs Bailey, teacher and fundraiser at the school, ‘but the research is carried out at the Sir James Spence Institute at the RVI hospital in Newcastle. It is through our connection with Sir James Calvert Spence, that we have been given this opportunity.’
‘This is such an important charity and it is fantastic that the staff, students and their families are supporting it’, said Mrs Bailey, ‘We have many other events planned to help us reach our target of £5000 and today’s efforts have added a further £744 to our collection. Thankyou’.
