Sport England invest in JCSC
James Calvert Spence College has been awarded £9918 through the Small Grants Programme, Sport England.
Sport England invests in organisations and projects that will get more people playing sport and creating opportunities for people to excel at their chosen sport.
The college has used the money to part-fund the new fitness suite in the sports hall, purchasing modern gym equipment that the students and staff can access.
‘The fitness suite was part of the sports hall refurbishment which included the provision of a dance studio that may also be used by the community as well as our students’, said Amy Geraghty, Business Manager at JCSC. ‘We were delighted to receive the money from Sport England, which helped us to fully furnish the suite with state of the art equipment and facilities and they are already proving a great success with users.’
