Shop local: support our great local businesses
Congratulations to Lawrence’s who have won a free advert in this issue of The Ambler. As part of our shop local campaign encouraging people to ‘TryAmble1st’, we asked readers to nominate their favourite local businesses. Lawrence’s received the most nominations this time, with glowing reviews from satisfied customers. Here’s just one:
If it’s not on the shelf they usually find what you are looking for in the back! My Dad always loves to go in when he comes up to visit, thinks its “fantastic” and the staff are so helpful and friendly.
We’re asking everyone to support the Friendliest Port in the run up to Christmas (and beyond of course) – don’t automatically head off to the Metro Centre or plug in your laptop. Remember the old adage – use it or lose it? If we want independent local businesses, we need to shop with them.
And to help you start as you mean to go on, Shop Local Saturday in Amble this year is on Saturday December 7.
