Holiday heaven (poem)
Icmeler
Icmeler is truly a lovely place
and on the beach there is plenty space
with sparkling sea and lots of sand
It’s one of the best places in the land
With sun lovers lying on the beach
and bars and restaurants wıthın easy reach
Others play and have lots of fun
Paddling and swimming till day is done.
Around the bay there’s a lovely sight
Mountains covered wıth trees at such height.
Flowers and shrubs adorn the roadway
wıth coloured butterflies that flutter all day.
Buzzards and hawks can be seen in the sky
Especially when the evening is nigh.
Lizzards and dragonflies live near the canal
but to be seen elswhere is not unusual.
Shoe and clothiıng shops are ın abundance
whether they fıt will you just take a chance.
Ice cream and sweet stalls are there to enjoy
Gifts and souvenirs and you can even buy a toy.
Hairdressers and barbers are easy to fınd
They’re on every corner, and some behind.
To have a hair do is a thing not to miss
Because they pamper and preen you and give you a kiss.
At the end of the day when you are thinkıng of food
There are ample places where its really good,
but if you are thinking of an excellent feast
Go to Bonjours
It’s the best to say the least.
