Use less energy and save money

Find out when your cheap energy time is and make use of it. Boil a kettle and fill a flask, instead of constantly reboiling the kettle, or at least boil only the amount of water you will use.

When making meals, make a bit extra for next day or plate up a meal and put it in the freezer for another day. Invest in a halogen oven as it is more economical than putting on a big oven or a grill.

If you feel draughts in the house, find out where they’re coming from and fill the gap or hole. Get the best from your heating by ringing your energy supplier and asking for advice. You may be entitled to free cavity or loft insulation.

Why not invest in hot water bottles? It would be much cheaper for heating up your bed than an electric blanket or a wheat bag.

You’ll be surprised at how much electricity can be saved by switching off television sets and other electronic equipment.

An extra layer of clothing is always good in colder weather. Be determined to keep warm and save your own energy.

Don’t forget the Flannelette sheets + pillow cases. I have always used them.
And in the house, I wear an old fur stole I bought in Charity shop – very warm.
Now I’m looking for the tiara to go with it and the Prince of course, to take to the Puffin Festival?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Keep Warm !
