Andrew Whitworth and Heidi Hall, two new teachers at St Cuthbert’s First School

Following the retirement of Mrs Carol Jones, St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic First School is pleased to announce a new phase of leadership at the school.

Miss Nichola Givens, previously Deputy Headteacher, will be taking over the running of the school with the expert guidance of Mrs Angela Jefferies, who is Headteacher of Shilbottle First School, and also a National Leader of Education. Mr Paul Claridge has taken over the role of Chair of Governors and Mrs Jennifer Cowell has joined the governing body as Parent Governor.

The school is also pleased to welcome two new members of staff; Mrs Heidi Hall a very experienced and competent KS1 Teacher and Mr Andrew Whitworth, Teaching Assistant who comes to the school with a degree in Sports Science and an excellent reputation as a football coach.

St Cuthbert’s is a family orientated school which educates children within the Catholic ethos. However, the school is open to children from all religious beliefs and backgrounds, and as one of the smaller schools in the area, children benefit from being taught in smaller units with more personalised learning.
Parents and visitors are welcome at the school any time.
