Through the lens 2013: last date for entries
Have you all got the date April 7th in red in your diaries? That is the last date for entries for the photo competition, organised by St Cuthbert’s Church and Amble Photographic Group. This is the fourth year when the competition is being held and we are hoping for an even bigger number of entries than last year.
To remind you of the subjects that we want you to enter, there are two categories: “Coast and Castles of Northumberland” and “Portraits of People”. Please indicate on the back of your photo which category you are entering.
When you have your photograph mounted on card (no bigger than 20ins. X 16 ins.) fill in an entry form, which can be obtained from Amble Development Trust office at Fourways 2 (next to the Percy Street roundabout), or from N&F Young on Queen Street, both during working hours, or from St. Cuthbert’s Church (opposite the bus shelter on Church street) on Sunday mornings 9am to 9.30 and 11am to 11.30. You can enter up to ten photos in total, accompanied by one entry form stating how many photos you have entered. Entry fees are still £1 per entry for those 18 years and above, and free to those up to 18. Please return your photos and entry forms to the same places as above.
Photos will be judged by professional photographers and results can be viewed in the Parish Hall, Dovecote Street over the May Bank Holiday, 4th, 5th and 6th.
You’ve probably taken the winning photo already. Just get it sorted, mounted and entered.
