Visit the National Aboretum

Three day visit to theUK’s Centre of Remembrance in Staffordshire organised by Warkworth and Amble Royal British Legion, in conjunction with Craiggs Travel of Amble.

Sunday 13 May – Tuesday 15 May. Cost : £130 pp includes coach travel to National Memorial Arboretum and return, two nights accommodation at the AstonCourtHotel, Derbyon a dinner, en suite, room and breakfast basis, visit to the National Memorial Arboretum on Monday 14, entry to RAF. Coningsby Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre on return journey 15 Tuesday. Single supplement £20 pp.  Full and comprehensive travel insurance if required £10 pp.

Aerotoning classes

Every Monday at 6.30pm – 7.30pm at Hadston House, Bondicar Road, Hadston.
Class includes aerobics and free style dance choreographed routines, toning exercises and more, is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, from beginners to improvers. No need to book, £3 per class. For more information contact Vlada on

Alnwick Stage Music Society

Celebrates its 25th anniversary with a dazzling repeat of ‘The Sound of Music’, the Society’s first-ever show, in the Alnwick Playhouse from 18 – 26 May 2012 at 7.30pm with a matinee on Saturday 19 May (no show on Monday, 21 May).

Not only is the show a reprise for this local group; it also reunites the production team of 1987, with director Norman Luke and musical director Paul Toward at the helm.

The Alnwick Support Group of Parkinson’s UK Coffee Morning on Saturday 28 April 10am – 12pm
Warkworth URC Hall, The Butts.

Refreshments, raffle, cake stall, information about the condition. All welcome.


Royal commemorative china display

Saturday 5 and Monday 7 May, 9.30am to 3.30pm at Town Council Meeting Room, The Quayside.

Easter eggstravaganza

Monday 2 April – Friday 13 April

Eight days of creative activities to keep children busy during the Easter holidays. Arts and crafts with resident artist Elaine Porter;  cooking sessions making hot cross buns and pizza for lunch. We have also been invited to take part in the Morpeth Gathering so we will be creating visual art work to be included in the event. Venues are across Amble and the surrounding community.

On Tuesday 10 April we will be part of the The Big Tidy Up in Amble with Homes for Northumberland, so come along and join us.
