ALF ‘SOS’ coffee morning
We intend to start regular coffee mornings on the third Sunday of each month, starting on Easter Sunday. These will be held in the Lifeboat House on Radcliffe Quay, with the usual tea, coffee, soft drinks, home-baked scones and cakes.
At our ‘SOS’ Coffee morning on 26th January, we raised £158, which will go towards the cost of new lifejackets for the crew members. We would like to thank everyone again for their kind generosity, especially in turning out on a miserably cold day. We are also thinking of organising a sponsored walk from Boulmer to Amble sometime in June, providing we can get sufficient people interested. If anyone would like to participate, perhaps they could ring either of the people listed below to let them know. We have held walks in the past years and these have been enjoyed by the walkers. There would be refreshments in the boathouse on their return.
ALF would love to have some more members who could spare some time to help out on events and Harbour Day. They wouldn’t need to attend committee meetings, just be available for a few hours in the year to lend a hand. Anyone who might be interested, please ring the people below, or if you know an ALF member, please speak to them.
