Call 101 if it’s not an emergency
101 is the new Northumbria Police non-emergency number. From 13th December if you need to contact the police but it’s less urgent than 999, ring 101. It’s a direct replacement for their current non-emergency number – 03456 043 043. It will not be a partnership helpline as it was when piloted in 2006.
Calling 101 and selecting Northumbria Police will be the same as calling 03456 043 043 at the moment.
