Western Front Association
At the last Western Front Association meeting at Alnmouth, Derek Gladding spoke to members and guests about the spectacular Austro-German offensive in October 1917 which led to the near collapse of the Italian Army at Caporetto
The WFA’s next meeting will be held on Monday, 22 November when David Thompson will deliver his talk ‘British Shipping Losses off the coast of North East England, 1914-1918’
There is no formal meeting in December, so the first meeting in 2011 will be held on 24 January
Meetings are held at Alnmouth Ex-Servicemen’s Club and start at 7:30 (for 8:00) pm. Visitors and new members welcome. The suggested minimum donation is £1, to include a light buffet supper.
