Amble Scouting
Scouting has made a welcome return to the town: a Beaver Section was launched this Summer. Beaver Scouts are boys and girls aged 6-8. We have got off to a flying start with the young people having already gained their first badge, in healthy eating.
Emma Brierly, a new Beaver Scout who is enjoying her new adventure said, ‘The best thing about Beavers is we make lots of cool things and play games. This term we are working towards the experiment badge by investigating cats’ eyes and cress seeds. We also enjoy playing games, going on visits, making new friends, and getting crafty!’
Scouting is as much fun for adults as it is for young people. The Scout Association provides fantastic training and new skills that are useful throughout life’.
We need more adults to join our team. If you are interested please get in touch and we can arrange an informal chat to find a way you can help out.

Hi Hayley,
We currently have beaver scouts and cub scouts in Alnwick, Rothbury, Longhoughton and Felton but due to demand all currently have a waiting list.
Because of this I’m very keen to get beavers and Cubs going in Amble again but I will need volunteers to help me in leader and parent helper/adult helper roles.
If there is anybody who could help me get them going id be very grateful.
Please contact me on 07794521953 or geoff@midnorthscouts.org
Thank you
